You can find diet tips anywhere, just with a simple search on the web. Nobody will give you assurance that they work. So why reading them? Simple - you don't know what will work for you. So keep collecting ideas, and someday you'll find yourself better looking.

Anyway, here are 10 tips from me, for practical people:

  1. Going on restaurant sometimes can ruin your diet, because of the enormous portions. So why don't order from the kids menu? You get reasonably sized portion, and in most cases - healthier one.
  2. The healthy snacks. Yes, there is such thing. A bowl of fruit on the kitchen table, a container of celery or carrot sticks in the fridge, or a couple of pop-open cans of fruit salad in your desk - easily accessible whenever you need to eat something.
  3. Frozen vegetables instead of canned. Why? Because canned vegetables are high in sodium. So put some vegetables in your fridge.
  4. No need to go the gym. Instead you can play baseball, volleyball or anything that you like ( but active) with friends.
  5. Cook vegetables on steam. This way the food retains all of its natural ingredients, and your vegetables can taste even better than eating them raw.
  6. Break your meals into smaller ones and spread them throughout the day. Just remember to break the meals in smaller pieces, not to add meals.
  7. Stop eating while standing up. Take your plate, sit down comfortably and enjoy your meal. Thus you prevent just pop food without paying attention.
  8. Drink water. I already posted about water here.
  9. Fruit juice instead of soda. Soda is nothing but empty calories. No nutrients, lots of sugar and carbonation. Grab a bottle of 100% fruit juice, or pure water.
  10. Skip on the potato chips. Chips is not great, and you know it. Just skip it. OK, it's hard to skip it every time, but you can try do it most of the times.
