There are number of weight loss supplements that are available when it comes to weight loss. One of the most popular options that dieters are thriving/looking for are appetite suppressants. It is no wonder as the increased appetite is maybe the greatest obstacle when following a diet properly.
There are great number of appetite suppressants that are available - from hoodia appetite suppressant to acay berry products. Recently a new product has been launched, that is thought to give hope to dieters. It is called Appesat.
What is Appesat?
Appesat is fibre extract from a seaweed Laminaria digitata, that is called Bioginate Complex. This fibre complex is designed to be resistant to stomach acid, so that it stays in your stomach, without entering bloodstream. This means more or none side effects. As we know that fibre food tend to keep you full for a longer time, there is no wonder that Appesat is working as an appetite suppressant.
How does Appesat is reducing hunger/works?
The fiber complex swells up in your stomach when eaten and stays there. As it is not braked down by stomach acid/digestible the only effect that you experience is as a sense of fullness/it remains active for hours.
In the stomach the fiber complex sends signal to your brain that you are full, by stimulating receptors in the stomach wall. This can help you in number of ways:
- help you overcome binge eating
- eat smaller portions, because you are feeling full,
- you are feeling for longer time
Obviously all this effects can result in one desired effect - you can shed off weight.
Are there any clinical studies to support Appesat effectiveness as an appetite suppressant?
There were conducted clinical trials with volunteers, in which was given Appesat. According results it helped them to reduce their weight. Another benefit from Appesat is that when taking this appetite suppressant, the volunteers could control their appetite more easily. This was more noticeable in people that had binge eating problems.
Is there any side effects?
According manufacturers there were none side effects. As it doesn't enters the bloodstream the possible side effects is "upset tummy", without giving clear explanation of it.
Is Appesat for you?
While there are only few that have tryed it and there are no clear evidence if there are any serious side effects, it is not recommended to use Appesat. Some more questions remain unanswered - is it effective for the long-term?
Other similar diet pills
There is another option for those seeking quality diet pill. One is Proactol, that is marketed as fat binder. However, it forms complexes, that similar to Appesat, gives you the sense of fullness. This means that Proactol suppresses your hunger and is also fat binder.
Another solution for those that have difficulties controlling their appetite is UniqueHoodia.
